How to VR

For How to VR, I was tasked with helping out with their new online store. For this project, I was asked to create a design for athletic apparel for their store. The product had to be related to VR somehow, as How to VR is a website that focuses on creating beginner-friendly tutorials and resources for people starting out with VR products. 

My first thought when it came to an athletic design was a camouflage print, as it could be worn by either gender, and it was a common print used in a lot of athletic apparel. However, in order to make it VR related, I decided to draw the shapes in the camouflage print as silhouettes of VR headsets. It would look like a typical clothing print to the casual viewer, but upon closer inspection, they could make out the headset design.

Finally, I decided to make the print into several different colours, as I thought they looked appealing and gave the customers more variety to choose from.
